If you live in London, Ontario, you already know the pattern: a quiet evening, then 10 cm on the driveway by morning and a hard ridge of packed snow from the City plow across the end of it. Seasonal snow plowing takes that problem off your list for the whole winter. This guide explains how seasonal plowing works with Thames Valley Snow, what is included, and what it costs for the 2026-2027 season.

What seasonal snow plowing means

A seasonal plowing contract is one fixed price for the whole winter instead of paying each time it snows. Our season runs from December 1 to March 31. If you want cover for early or late storms, you can extend it to November 1 to April 15 for $95 + HST.

With a seasonal contract you never have to call us. We come automatically every time snowfall reaches 5 cm, and during long storms we come back. That matters in London, where a single system can drop snow on and off for a full day.

What every visit includes

• Your driveway plowed edge to edge after every snowfall of 5 cm or more
• The windrow the City plow leaves at the end of your driveway, cleared on our visit
• Return visits during long storms
• A timestamped photo after every visit, so you know it was done even when you are away

Before the season starts, we mark your edges, steps and drains so the crew knows exactly where your driveway ends and your lawn, gardens and curbs begin. We are fully insured and WSIB registered.

The City windrow problem

For most London homeowners the hardest part of a snowfall is not the driveway itself. It is the heavy, packed ridge the City plow leaves across the bottom of the driveway after it clears the street. It is dense, often icy, and it can trap your car even after you have shovelled everything else. Clearing that windrow is included in every seasonal contract we offer, not sold as an extra.

Overnight snow and early mornings

Visits run through the night and early morning, so most driveways are clear before people leave for work. If you need to be out early every day, for a shift that starts at dawn or a school run, you can add priority early-morning clearing for $125. It puts your property on the first part of the route.

Protecting pavers and stamped concrete

Interlock and stamped concrete driveways need more care than plain asphalt. For pavers and stamped surfaces we use a raised rubber-edge blade near decorative surfaces, which helps protect the finish. These driveways are priced in their own tier because they take more time to clear carefully.

Snow plowing prices in London for 2026-2027

We publish our starting prices so you know what to expect before you call. Each one is a fixed seasonal rate for December 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027, plus 13% HST:

• Single driveway: from $650
• 1.5-car driveway: from $725
• Double driveway: from $815
• 3-car, paver or stamped driveway: from $1,050
• Walkway + 2 steps: $150, or walkway + up to 6 steps: $175
• Salt for the season: $175, or premium pet-safe de-icer: $120

What changes your exact price: driveway length and width, slope, number of steps, surface type, and how many neighbours on your street book with us. Prefer to pay per visit?

If you only want help now and then, per-visit snow removal costs $70 to $85 per visit with no contract. For most homes that get regular snow, a seasonal plan works out simpler, because it covers every snowfall of 5 cm or more and the City windrow without you having to book each time.

How to book seasonal plowing

• Get your price. We measure your property from City maps and send a fixed seasonal price within 1 business day.
• Hold your spot. Sign and pay a 30% deposit. The balance is due before December 1, or you can pay in full.
• Relax all winter. From December 1 we come automatically at 5 cm and send a photo after every visit.
