Terms of Service

These are the standard terms for snow and ice services from Thames Valley Snow (1001712569 Ontario Ltd.) in London, Ontario. Your signed quote or contract sets out the exact areas, dates and price for your property; these terms apply alongside it.
1. What's included: the areas and service level listed on your quote, for example driveway only, or driveway, walkway and steps with salting. Anything not listed needs a separate quote.
2. Season: seasonal plans run for the dates on your quote (usually December 1 to March 31) and cover every qualifying snowfall in that period. The price does not change with how much or how little it snows. Per-visit clients are billed for each visit.
3. When we come: service starts automatically at about 5 cm (2") of snow unless your quote says otherwise, and is finished within a reasonable time after the snow stops, in route order. Major storms can stretch service times. We do our best in freezing rain but can't guarantee an ice-free surface at all times.
4. Payment: for seasonal plans, a 30% deposit confirms your spot, with the balance due before the season starts; paying in full at signing is welcome. Per-visit clients are invoiced after each visit, due within 7 days. We accept cash, Interac e-transfer to sales@thamesvalleysnow.ca, cheque payable to 1001712569 Ontario Ltd., or credit card through our secure online pay link. We don't offer instalment plans.
5. Late accounts: balances past due are charged 1.5% per month (18% per year). Accounts more than 7 days past due may have service paused until paid; we'll try to let you know first.
6. Your property: please keep serviced areas clear of vehicles, bins, hoses and other items, and mark hidden hazards (low walls, sprinkler heads, uneven pavement) before the season. We aren't responsible for items left in the service area or for hazards that weren't marked.
7. Damage and insurance: we carry $2,000,000 commercial general liability insurance and WSIB coverage. Normal wear from plowing and salting (light scuffing, salt residue) and pre-existing damage aren't covered. Report any damage you believe we caused within 48 hours of the visit so we can look into it.
8. Cancelling: per-visit service can be cancelled any time. Seasonal plans can be cancelled with 14 days' written notice; amounts paid for the part of the season already serviced aren't refundable. We may end a plan for non-payment, unsafe access or abuse toward our crew, with written notice.
9. Photos: we photograph completed work for our records and may use photos (without your name or address) on our website and social media. Tell us in writing if you'd rather we didn't.
10. General: these terms are governed by the laws of Ontario. Your signed quote or contract plus these terms are the whole agreement. Terms may be updated between seasons; the version in effect when your season starts applies.
