Once the snow stops falling and the driveways are clear, most homeowners in London start thinking about everything winter left behind: bare flower beds, a fence panel that took a beating from the plow, cracked concrete, or a patio that's overdue for a refresh.
We get asked about this every spring, so here's the short version: snow removal and exterior upkeep are two very different jobs, which is why we run them as two different companies.
Thames Valley Snow handles the winter side: plowing, salting, and keeping your property safe and accessible all season. Once the thaw sets in, our sister company, Thames Valley Exteriors, picks up where we leave off. They handle landscaping and yard care, fencing repair and installation, concrete and paving, patios, power washing, and even holiday and outdoor lighting, along with painting.
A few things worth doing once the snow is gone for good:
Walk your fence line. Snow and ice put real weight on fence panels and gates. A quick spring check catches loose posts or cracked boards before they become a bigger repair.
Look at your driveway and walkways. Freeze-thaw cycles are hard on concrete and asphalt. Small cracks now can turn into bigger ones by next winter if they're not addressed.
Power wash before you plant. Salt residue and winter grime build up on siding, walkways, and patios. A power wash in early spring gives you a clean slate for any landscaping or outdoor projects.
Plan ahead for next winter's lighting. If you're already doing exterior work this year, it's the easiest time to also plan for holiday lighting installation before the season sneaks up again.
Same ownership, same standard of reliability we bring to snow removal. If your property needs some post-winter attention, you can reach Thames Valley Exteriors directly at thamesvalleyexteriors.ca.
