Start with the driveway you actually have

Seasonal pricing is fixed for the winter: $650 to $725 plus HST for single or 1.5-car driveways, $815 for doubles, and $1,050 for three-car, paver or stamped driveways. Let the service run itself

The best snow plan is one you do not have to manage. From December 1 to March 31, every snowfall of 5 cm or more triggers a visit automatically. You do not need to call, text or check the forecast. During long storms we come back for return visits, so the driveway does not end up buried by evening.

After every visit you get a timestamped photo. Whether you are at work, picking up kids or away for a weekend, you can see the driveway is clear.

This also takes the guesswork out of busy weeks. Between school drop-offs, work and activities, nobody wants to be the one who has to remember to call a snow company at 6 a.m.

The windrow and the morning rush

East London streets are plowed by the City, and every plow pass leaves a windrow at the end of each driveway. That ridge of heavy, compacted snow is often harder to move than the snow on the driveway itself. We clear the City windrow as part of every visit. For households that leave very early, priority early-morning clearing is $125 plus HST.

Snow piles at the end of the driveway also affect sightlines. Keeping the corners near the sidewalk low helps you see children walking to school and cars coming down the street when you back out.

Ice is the second job

London winters bring repeated freeze-thaw cycles and the occasional freezing rain. A driveway that looks clear can become a sheet of ice overnight. Seasonal salt is $175 plus HST and includes freezing rain and refreeze visits. If you have pets, pet-safe de-icer is $120 for the season.

• Salt the slope at the end of the driveway and the walkway to the door.
• Keep downspouts draining away from hard surfaces.
• Watch for ice where the garage meets the driveway.
• Keep a small bucket of de-icer by the door for touch-ups.

Add the walkway

Front walks and steps get used by everyone: kids, guests, mail carriers and delivery drivers. Our walkway and steps service starts at $150 and is cleared on the same visit as the driveway.

Savings and booking

Seniors and front-line workers, including nurses, firefighters, police, paramedics and teachers, receive 5 percent off seasonal service. A 30 percent deposit holds your spot, with the balance due before December 1. If you want coverage for early or late snow, an extension from November 1 to April 15 is $95. Prefer to pay per storm? Per-visit clearing runs $70 to $85.
